I don’t know about you, but today just wasn’t the best. Some of the people in my office seemed to feel the same way too – chatter around the lunch table was truncated to the basics: the weather, comments on our brown bag contents, etc. Whether from stress, lack of sleep, physical discomfort (we’ve got a stomach bug that’s made it’s way around), we all seemed to feel in a rut.

In case you might be feeling a bit funky as well, here are some highlights that should put a little more perk in your day:

I always enjoy looking at old photos – especially of places I know, like Louisville. It’s interesting to see how things used to be and how much they’ve morphed as society has changed.

This exhibit combines two things I love: old photos and awesome architecture! The Camp Zachary Taylor Historical Society will be exhibiting a New, Photographic Exhibit this summer at the Conrad Caldwell House Museum in St. James Court.

If not, you should plan to go this summer! There’s a lot of events on the Louisville Zoo’s calendar, including Dino-mite Movie Night on July 10 and the 7th Annual Brew at the Zoo & Wine Too on August 28.

And don’t miss the adorable baby giraffe, Crosby, while you’re there!

The Louisville Free Public Library is set to be a beneficiary of the E.ON U.S. grant to the Library Foundation!  The money will be distributed to the children’s library, teen library, auditorium, multi-purpose meeting room, adult literacy classroom, adult education work center, and the Job Shop expansion, among other things.  Read the entire story here.
